can't get grease in
I was trying to grease the zerks that are just inside of the front tires. The passenger side was no problem, but I couldn't get grease in the driver's side. I pulled the zerk out and grease will pas through it. Put it back in and no go. Where do i go from here?

I had this happen on another vehicle. Pull out the zerk and see spray the inside with penetrating oil. Put the zerk back in, drive it for a day and try it again. Took about 3 or 4 times before I was able to push grease into it. The other option is replacing the part after it wears out.
Good Luck!

There is a tool that is hard to find, it is a cylinder with a removeable drive cartridge that you pull out and fill with penetrating oil and it has a greas zerk head that you slip over the grease zerks and strike it with a small hammer and it will drive pressurized penetrating oil into the area that is clogged. I use them most every day on zerks that are on my dozers that are notorious for clogging. Might try some of the heavy equipment places to see if they carry them. Goodluck,,,Rick

Bobcat Company... yeah the skidsteer loader guys. Sell those grease zerk reconditioning tools. they do work fairly well, even on bobcats, where the headframe pins and bushings are forever having grease issues.
I can't recall the part number offhand, but give it a try.
THe other thing you can do, is try jacking the truck up a bit as you put pressure on the fitting, forcing grease through it, many times that will work. It frees up an area for the grease to flow into.

Those grease drivers are a handy little tool around farm equipment too. They work a lot better than they look like they should You might try getting a small pick and digging some of the old grease, dirt, rust, etc. out of there, then take a med. sized syringe w/ a fairly stout ga. needle and try shooting some penetrant in there like that.
