Can't grease new ball joint????
The grease nipple is clean and clear but when I screw it back in the ball joint I can't get grease in. This ball joint doesn't have a rubber dust cover either like the old one.

The grease fitting is most likely bottoming out on the ball joint. On my old Ford I had this problem, so I ground off a little of the tip of the grease fitting. Be careful, if you grind off too much the spring will come flying out. I ended up getting plugs to replace the fitting, just remove the plugs, and use a rubber tip grease gun end to do the job. Takes a few minutes longer but works.

I've got one that's hard to grease as well. I have to jack up the truck a bit from under the lower control arm. I'll definately try the grinding trick next grease job.
