Brake pad replacement

I need some advice on removing the top bolt on the calipers. I got the bottom one loose but the top one is stubborn and while trying to get it loose I rounded out the inside of the bolt!! Anyone know how to get this out? I still have a little left to grab with it but I don't want to completely round it out. It is at the point where one wrench is to big and the other is to small to fit in the head. Thanks for any info on this.

Thanks js didn't know if the bolt stuck out enough because of the rubber boot that is on there. I'll give it a try.

Sometimes you can take a socket that is barely too small and pound it over the head of the bolt. Then put a breaker bar on the socket and twist it out.

DONT USE 12 point, use a 6 point socket. If you can get a socket on it

If all else fails, get out the red wrench (aka torch) and heat that sucker up till it looks like this -> . Put a damp cloth on the bolthead (to cool it) and she should walk right out.

If that fails, depending on year of vehicle *you may wish to verify*, you can purchase the calipers already on the bracket. Return the stubborn one with bolts in as a core.
