Question Which is better?

Hey Guys,

I have the oportunity to aquire an 01 24 valve with less than 100K km on the clock, this of course would mean letting my 94 go . The 01 is ultra base (fleet truck) but with a good history (lady driven). I love the 12 valve but the 01 is extended cab and an 01! Note that the 01 is almost free!

What should I do?

Get the 01, put gauges and a good aftermarket lift pump on it and enjoy it.

If the 01 is almost free, why not keep the 94?

Since the '01 is nearly free do you want to make me a good deal on the 94? My 1975 Dodge crew needs a CTD in the worst way!!

Yes the '01 is more refined truck than the '94, and its great to drive. Just start saving $1000-1500 for a new VP44 injection pump, so when it goes out you're ready to go. Also keep a few spare lift pumps on hand, you'll need them. First thing you need to do is install a fuel pressure gauge, and watch it like a hawk.

Other than a couple switches, some cup holders, and a less reliabile injection system, I'm a little curious how a late 2nd Gen truck is more refined or better to drive than an early 2nd Gen truck.
