70mph shakes

I have been thru 3 set of tires and cannot get rid of the 70mph vibration/shakes. It is quite annoying watching and listening to the passenger seat shake from the vibration.
I have had tires balanced 2 times on each set & doesnt help.
Anyone else have this problem?

Could be the divelines out of ballance, it's rare but check to see if any of the balancing weight came off.

I know you have thought about it, but your ball joints are o.k. arent they??? When my joints were bad, it was exactly like the tires were out of balance. It took my quite a while to figure it out. Ruined a set of tires.

My brothers truck had a vibration an it turned out to be a worn transmission yoke a rear tail housing bushing. Good luck Jim

Are all your U-joints in the same plane, if they are out by 90 degrees from one another that would cause a real bad VIBE. Just a thought

You might try your tracking arm. I have gone through 4 on my dodge and it is a 1994 4x4 with 173,000 miles. They are very sh*$y on these trucks.

Usually a vibration that comes on at a specific rpm is a balance issue - if you let a bad ujoint go it will thro the drive line out of balance. Could be a joint on it's way out too.

welp
I removed the rear driveline and center driveline support bearing (carrier)

now the vibration is gone up to 7o mph (dont wan tto go faster in 4wd)
so the driveline goes in monday to get ballanced, new Carrier, and ujoints all for $220.

that should cure it!!
