4:11 to 3:50 swap on a 4x4???
I changed from 4.10s to 3.55's and couldnt be happier. I do a lot of empty interstate miles, but its great for towing as well because I still start in second unloaded. It was a big job changing without a lift. sucks rolling around on a creeper that much. It cost me about $300 plus a case of miller lite for my mechanic buddy. I bought a set of rear 3.55's for $300 and found front 3.55's on ebay for $20 (yes, $20) Install kits were $300 from 4wheel parts. I was not happy with those kits. had the wrong seals in them, and did not include a front crush sleeve, and didnt say anything about not having it so I could get one. I then wound up selling my 4.10s on ebay for $350 so that helped a lot. If you buy new gears though, look out. The chepest set I found for a dana 80 is $430.
