2tons in bed.

I just hauled a pallet of 30lb concrete blocks weighing in a 2-tons in the bed . Not to mention 6 bags of mortar plus the contents of my tool box. I hauled it approx. 20 miles. the truck hauled beautifully, boy do these engines sound deep with a load! So if anyone was concerned about how much they could haul in the bed there is an answer for you.

Don't you just want to leave that in the truck at all times. My truck is kinda jerkey when I'm empty. Put some weight in it or towing with it, it's like driving a caddy ;D

I hauled 4,000 lbs. of stone for a sidewalk I did this year. That is the most I have had in it so far.

I've hauled 4 yards of bed sand in my truck before. The top bump stops were about 1/2" from the axle. Truck drove a little funny. I couldn't even get the front to nose down even doing a 55mph-slam-on-the-brakes-for-fun-stop.

Last year I had 6800 lbs. of re-bar in here 1"x10' sticks, I forget how many that was but she was heavy, I have an inch or two befor the bump stops hit. The mud flaps were dragging though .

Re:2tons in bed.

4000 lbs. in the bed just makes my 92 ride smooth. ;D The rear end doesn't wanna go jumping and getting crazy over the rough roads , and I still got 17 mpg on the highway, 70 mph and air blowing snow ***** . Try that in my Ford Ranger and it'll be squashed like a bug

Re:2tons in bed.

whats fun is when the bump stops are bending over because they are so long and thin. happend to me had to tell my uncle to back the dozer up a lil to bad the damage had been done. I broke the c-clip on the transfercase and it mad a nice gear grindeing noise for a week until I could stop the truck and get it fixed. :-[ but it still runs great.

Had 46, 80 lb bags of concrete mix in the bed towing 18' Tandem w/skidsteer and cement mixer. You do the math! drove like a caddy. ;D
