CAR SEAT ???

Okay I have a question for all you guys out there with quad cabs and kids. Where the heck do you mount the tether for the car seat when you put it in front facing?? (in the back)

Re:CAR SEAT ???

Don't have kids, but in my '02 there are 3 tethers behind the back seat. That is where we have attached friends' kid's seats. Check with D/C, they might install some for free. I say this because my friends Chevy (01?) did not come with tethers but now they do and Chevy is offering to install them free on vehicles that did not come with them.

Re:CAR SEAT ???

On my 98, there are tethers already there. Since my twins (ain't talkin about turbos either) are almost out of car seats ;D, I'd be happy to part with them if your truck doesn't have them.

Re:CAR SEAT ???

Seeing we are talking about car seats in a quad cab, how much room is there for a car seat that is facing backwards?
I am planning on buying a 2001 or 2002 quad cab and before I spend the $$$ I want to make sure there is plenty of room.

Thanks

Re:CAR SEAT ???

In my 2001 QC, the only place our car seat will fit is in the center (where it should be anyway) and it will fit either forward or rearward facing. But, when forward facing my 2yr old childs feet are on the console. If it were rearward the top of the car seat will just rest against the top of the driver and passenger seat with the drivers/pass seat all the way back.

I think this seat is a little bigger than most, it is one that works from infant up to 80lbs.

Re:CAR SEAT ???

The only way I can get my young-un's seat to fit backwards is in the middle (rear) unless the passenger in front doesn't mind not having any leg room, then I can put her behind them.

Hey DC ... how 'bout a TRUE crew cab so we can bring our kids and dogs too ???
FORD has one ... CHEVY has one ...DODGE used to have one ... (I think they are ignoring us ... again).
