Car seat?

Wife and I want to head to Vermont in the W250. Where is the best place to put our one year old, right in the middle? She feels it isn't safe.

Bench or buckets?

Bench seat, in the middle, rear facing car seat would be safest place. You might disjoint yer right elbow grabbin' gears.

Buckets, right seat, wife in the jump seat in back.

Time for a Crew Cab Conversion or Ford Cummins Crew Cab Conversion.

My wife used to question our little ones in the old Dodge, bahhh, they'll be fine its a tough old truck.

Now they are a little older with more activities and friends, I had to get a crew cab Superduty, so they Dodge is going on the chopping block.
18 mpg Cummins to a 11 mpg v10, love being back in a Ford, miss the CTD. Maybe someday I can do the conversion.

I say in the middle, rear facing is the safest. The shoulder belts don't having the ratcheting locks to adjust the belts tight on the baby seat like the newer vehicles do

I have had 3 kids ride in car seats throughout the years, and all were safe in the center of the bench strapped in properly. Might get shaken baby syndrome though.

My daughter rode in a '93 W-150 with a bench seat and a 5-speed set up from 1-5 years old.
Rear facing seat at first, then a forward facing booster seat later.

Be careful. I've seen a little joviality like this generate a CPS visit. All that's needed is a negative person making a call and providing a picture.

Looking for a ransom ?

Well here it is..

When you get these, plant them in fertile soil, and water daily.

When fully grown, and you get to the top, you will meet this crew of protectors. The passcode is "Bumble-Farts". You have to say it 3 times in a row, as fast as possible. if you don't say it fast enough, the protectors, will kill you with their bare hands, or a couple of coconuts if they're available.

Good luck on your trek, Grasshopper.
