would I see higher Fuel pressure #'s w/ a big line kit?
I have a holley blue pump. I put fuel line on to a white plastic hose barb (factory) on the top of tank I think the factory line used to go to this barb?? And have a holley blue mounted on frame rail very close to tank and then fuel line from pump to filter and stock from there on... I'm routed around factory lift pump.... Anyway, I'm seeing f.p. #'s like 10 psi @ idle and 8 psi @ cruising and around 5 @ WOT and just wondered if a big line and or bigger banjo fittings would yield higher pressure readings?? I just have a cheapo stewart warner fuel pressure guage plumbed to the VP.... mechanical guage setup... nothing special....
bigger lines will give u more volume at a lower psi, vp needs volume more then psi it will do just fine @5 psi all the time. when i put 1/2 in line psi droped 5 lbs, with 3/8 line it maintains 15psi @ idle. if your not running high hp u dont need 1/2in lines. and yes getting rid of banjos is a good thing.your psi #'s are good, theres hours of reading if u do a search.
