Drove home last night , everything was fine . Started it up today, backed out of the driveway and noticed it wasn't shifting out of 1st. Went around the block and just stays in 1st . Reverse shifts nicely , park works . Even when I pulled it into 1st going slow , it felt like it geared down . But I'd have to do that test again to be sure .

 

my truck was shifting, but acting funny sometimes and came to find out had a broken wire in the wiring harness going to the trans. Mine would skip 1st and use 2nd and 3rd. Good luck

 

It turned out to be the transmission output speed sensor , $23 and 10 mins to fix. Shifting is all good again
