Why Engine Light Came On, Then Back Off?

well first off let me say that this is a follow up on my other thread https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=130112
that i posted in the "help" section of this forum, and i must say that i'm quite disappointed! now i know that this is not the right forum topic to be ranting on about this but i must say something! it's just that i posted that thread and yes i got replies, but it seemed that no one followed up on it, as if i my problem wasn't as important as the other CTD'ers problems were! i still had questions that didn't get answered and that was the first time that this forum ever let me down! so, feel free to click on the posted link and reply to that thread if you wish. if not please help me out on the questions below. ok, my engine light came on and yada yada, you know what happened if you read the above link. well, now it went off, why would it do that? i don't believe that vehicles can fix themselves and i never have, so why did it come on and why did it go off? and the codes listed in the link are still there, granted i never reset my APPS, but they're still there, and what do they mean in layman's terms? the only thing that i could've come up with is that my edge ez is finally going out, and it's messing with my system or something, is that possible? i never did take it off or even play with it at all. so now i'm wondering, should i take it to the dealership and have them hook up a scanner to it anyway, or just reset my APPS and forget about it for now?
well, i hope ya'll can help now, you're a great bunch of folks and i don't love you any less and i'm sorry for the rant, but i hope you can see where i'm coming from.
thanks guys
andrew

Hmmm, interesting.
P0236 Map Sensor Too High Too Long.
Problem detected in turbocharger wastegate.
Did you run with the EZ disconnected AND the wastegate turnbuckle too tight?

P0237 Map Sensor Voltage Too Low.
MAP sensor voltage input below the minimum acceptable voltage.
Did you try running with the MAP sensor disconnected?

i have the map disconnected from the truck and left the edge ez harness plugged in so she smokes but no i never did run without the ez and my wastegate is completely turnbuckled shut and it's all been that way for many months now, so i don't know, i'm going to the dealership this morning so i'll let ya'll know.

Some of the minor codes clear themselves after a certain number of restarts if the problem in no longer present. For example last week my truck failed to start one cold morning, ran the batteries down and had to boost it. After boosting it the CEL was on but after a day or two it went out. I never checked the codes but I imagine it would have beend a low voltage code.

well i went to the dealership today and he said that he cannot do anything about it until the light is on. and since the light is not on it will just give false codes. so i'm not gonna worry about it for now...
