Water Pump
My waterpump started leaking. I was just wondering how bad of a job it is or any off the wall tools iI might need to change it out. I was also wondering what type of antifreeze would be the best to use and how much I should get.

Hey Eric;
I had to change mine while traveling home from MS last summer. The hardest part was taking the belt off, and getting it back on. I believe it was a 13 mm socket that Ii used, and it is only two bolts that hold it into the block. No gasket involved as there is an already installed o-ring on the new pump. By the way I did this all in the parking lot of the Wendy's restaraunt in Emporia, Va with half of the lunch crowd watching me and and taking up alot room as well as I had my new 25+5 gooseneck behind the truck as well. Overall easy job!!! If you need any other help please feel free to PM me and I will do what I can.
Regards
Eric

Thanks Eric that is what i was hoping to hear. By the way what is the 100,000 mile warranty good for? It doesnt seem to cover anything on the engine except the IP or maybe if you had a rod hanging out the side of it.

You are about right with that, they found an issue with my IP during a recall inspection, and I got a new IP and LP. Frankly the warranty was a little disappointing, but I still adore my truck, and with 89K on her, and all of the technical expertise running around our club, We are pretty much our own warranty shop.
