Did I damage my 4x4?

I just bought this truck , been driving it for 3 weeks . To make a long story short I somtimes have to park her in a muddy spot and have to put it in 4x4 to get out .

Well , I jumped in it quick the other day like a dummy and din't realize it was in 4x4 until 20miles later!!

It was about 20 miles of straight driving (no turns) at speeds of 40-55mph , I could have gotten it upto about 70mph in one streach for a couple mins (I usally do in this spot , but cant remember for sure),

I din't notice until I made a turn and felt the tires grabbing . I then took it out of 4x4 .

It still seems to work fine , what are the odds I did any damage???

Not much odds of any damage. If it shifted out of 4WD easily after the 20 mile trip, there wasn't any binding of the driveline to cause any potential problems. It is fine.

No problems, Been there, done that. There are times I run 4X4 at 70+ on dry pavement. While I don't make a habit out of it, I've never had never had a problem. The trick is if you even think you need 4x4 do it NOW. I think more damage can be done trying to get it in 4x4 when you are stuck or the wheels are spinning.

I would say driving around town (lots of tight turning) would be more harmful than rolling down the highway.

My sister in law drove for an unknown amount of miles (they measured it in weeks, ouch!) One more reason why I prefer NON push button engage/disengage. Easier to forget about IMO.

By the way,

OhFo sho; fo shizzle, get that dizzle out of fowheel drizzle.
