update-2000 fuel return
That line we had trouble with when the fuel pump went out broke again. This time we are going to cut a couple inches off each end and run a rubber fuel line between them. Hopefully it will hold more than a month this time. The one lasted a few days.
Why does that line need a banjo fitting on the pump? It'll handle more pressure than the dang feed line will.

Found the Vulcan kits. The line we are having trouble with comes off the pump and goes behind the filter to a 90 degree elbow aft of the filter. See what happens when we mod the replacement we have coming in if it lets go I'll tell the boss about this.
The banjo fitting keeps breaking off the end of the tube. We've tried several ways of tightening it to no avail. This time it lasted almost a month, the one lasted less than a week.

Don't have a picture. It is on the driver's side of the pump, toward the cab. The steel line drops down and back, the levels out, and runs back under the fuel filter to a fitting at the rear of the motor.
We cut about an inch and a half off each end and ran some rubber fuel line between them. It's holding so far, but we are only a day in. Best we can figure is that in tightening the rear fitting, we were putting some twist on the line, and that is what was breaking it. The tube was breaking within a 1/4 inch of the banjo fitting.

Well, we are a few days short of a month, and the rubber hose clamped to the ends we cut off the OEM line is still not leaking, think we got it whipped.
