Transmission Questions?
I know that this topic has just been beaten to death, but, I just wanted to make sure of something. at highway speeds in lock-up my truck seemed to either shudder/lose power, and sort of lurch. I have noticed no signs of rpm change, and I just lost my vp-44. its in the shop right now getting it replaced. could the lurching be due to a bad vp-44, or is my torque converter starting to go. All fluids were changed within last 2000 miles. truck is a 1999 ram 2500, auto trans

Remember to replace lift pump at same time if have any question of it's abilities. A failing VP44 can certainlly fool you with things you speak of happpening.
that is what I am going to do as soon as i get my truck back, what brand do you prefer. I was trying to find the difference between a electrical and mechanical... which one is more accurate?
