Transmission problems

Yeah I'm still fighting overdrive hunting. But now I got another problem. Traveling at speed 70 mpr my tranny seems to go into 3rd a lot too. I never had this problem. Could it be a sensor back by the rear end or transmission speed sensor.

A couple of of years back I fought tranny issues due to electrical noise for months. Until I solved the electrical issues the tranny was all over the map. Here is the path I would recommend.
Clean all grounds
If doesn't solve the problem, install a transmission noise isolator from Geno's Garage.
If that doesn't solve the problem, this will.

I fought trans problems and found I had a broken wire in the wiring harness that goes to the trans. LOL

Transmission Problems

After all these years of chasing RF or noise problem from overdrive locking and unlocking. I finally fix the problem. The output sensor was faulty and causing the lock and unlocking issue. My truck run like a new one. The VSS ( vehicle speed sensor) and the OUTPUT sensor need to respond with each other.
