When you're cleaning everything, put on some dielectric grease to keep things happy. On my 2000, I got some ferrite chokes and put one on each end of the brown with orange tracer wire from the alternator to the battery. I also wrapped that cable with aluminum tape to cut out the EMF from the alternator. There are other fixes but those worked for me. Well, trading the truck off worked as well...

There is a ground (possibly two) from the PCM to the firewall. Clean that and it should resolve your issue. There are other grounds on the battery to body, but it's normally the PCM to firewall.

Mine started "Hunting" again last weekend.
I cleaned both sides of the PCM ground strap with sandpaper (both on the terminal and the surface), and even ran a new ground from the PCM to the Neg Battery terminal.
No more "Hunt".
