Trans delays shifting

I do not know if this is normal with the 47re but my trans delays shifting. It reaches the torque level then delays, seems like, a second to shift. This is the only problem? that I have - no hunting or shifting back and forth.

Is this normal? Seems like it would be more efficient to shift once the torque level is reached instead of delaying/waiting about 1 to 2 seconds.

Maybe a service and band adjustment would help. Band adjustment is critical in proper timing of the transmission. There are different settings for different years - check the book.

A properly adjusted TV cable will help with lazy shifts.

My trans did that from day one, especially into high gear. Found that lifting a foot off the throttle a slight amount, encouraged the shift, or TC lock up.
