I have a 99 2500 24v Diesel. I'm having these three symptoms which I think are transmission related, but I need help narrowing down what area of the tranny:

1) Sitting at a stop on slight grade, my idle sounds high, when I take my foot off the brake it accerates forward (usually it would hold till I applied gas).

2) Shifting from N into Reverse or Drive, it clunks into gear, and sometimes stalls going into drive.

3) My lastest problem, no power in reverse. My RPM's go up, but I have no torque/power.

Am I dealing with transmission, computer or something in between.

It has been a while since heard this one. From description, it sounds as if cnverter is trying to lock up. If it were a manual it would be described as if did not have clutch adequatelly released and diesel responds to load by adding fuel to maintain RPM. The leak area is front pump leaking into converter circuit or bushing bad..
