Transmission

What type of transmission is in my 01 Dodge diesel its an auto but what type 47re or an different one. Also whats a good place to get a new transmission or to get one built. Because I want to get one built so its stronger and will last longer to handle the abuse of the diesel.

47RE, and there are many places to get a bulletproof tranny, do a search here using the keywords 47RE, Goerend, HTS, DTT, Suncoast, ATS.

Should keep you in research material for a month or so.
