tranny swap

I need lots of info. I have an 01 auto 2500 4x4. I believe i completly lost the tranny today pulling a cattle trailer. I have lots of fluid coming out of the dust cover on the bellhousing and shifts from 2nd straight into overdrive. I was wondering were i can get any if not all the info on a swap for a 6 speed manual trans. I was wondering maybe how much it might cost, if anyone makes a kit, if i will have to cut anything(besides hole in floor), what about the computer controls?

Need lots of help here guys?
thanks

It can be switched to a 6 speed but at about the same price as a built auto. If you can find a doner truck it makes things alot easyer.

You would need a pcm. possibly an ecm or a reprogram. a flywheel clutch trans depending on if it is 4wd or 2wd the propper adapters and correct length driveshafts

i was told that the ecm and pcm wouldnt need to be changed. a guy on here said he did the swap to a 24 valve and his worked fine without either changed. only thing was the cruise didnt work....but i have never used my cruise anyways so that wont bother me...

NV5600's are hard to come by because they aren't manufactured any more, so when you find a "NEW" unit its still just a rebuilt transmission.

I'll be selling an NV5600 here soon when I get my new transmission installed.
