First it's NOT the APPS, i already reset it and it did nothing. Second, driving along below 55 mph in either 4th or 5th {sometimes in 3rd}...the truck will stay at a constant RPM and not accelerate unless you take it out of gear and put it back in gear then it's fine, basically a dead pedal...mainly having trouble cruising in traffic or through small towns.Still blows white smoke and sputters a bit after i restart motor after stopping for fuel ..clears up within a mile or so.

Mine did the same thing last night. It ran like it was only getting 1/4 pedal even though I tried WOT. I gave it 1/2 throttle, held it there and everything went back to normal after about 3/4 mile.
Fuel tank was 1/2 full.
BD Box was level 1, sub-level 2.
Pump wire still disconnected.
Fuel pressure was 12psi instead of 10psi-"normal" pressure for 50mph.
I bought some fuel incase it was a problem.
This morning it's running normal, 32# boost running up the ridge full chat level 4.

Cummins, I would look for codes first, second before replacing the APPS i would find a dealer with a TEKIII and look at the APPS signal if there is a problem the signal will be all over the scale. at the same time they can look at the pump speed ref sensor, and make sure the problem is not in the VP-44.
