throttle position sensor

i have a friend with a 99 and his tps went out and the dodge dealership wants an arm and a leg for one of these things. i was wondering if you guys knew of anywhere we might be able to find one new or used for a decent price

i did google it and most of them bring up stuff on ebay, i dont know how much they normally are but they seem to be around 3-500 and my buddy is a bit of a tightwad and would prefer to buy used if he can

Why anyone would waste their money on used or the OEM APPS is beyond me, if you think your saving money, you usually end up spending twice as much. I'm as much a tight wad as the next, when mine goes it will be a replacement from Timbo as well, BTW I have installed one of tim's APPS on an 03, took all of 10mins in a grocery store parking lot. super quick and easy

Easier than replacing APPS and much cheaper. Had mine for 4 months but others have had them for 2 yrs+ w/ no trouble.
Tim told me over 400 installed and only had to replace two (free).
