Throttle position pressure question

Is my truck normal or not. If I press to go peddle it goes about 1/2 way really easy and then there is some resistance but you can push it to the floor. I don't necessarily see more power after pressing through the pressure. If I reset the APPS the pressure spot disappears for a few hours, maybe miles and then it's back again. Is this a function or malfunction of the APPS sensor or normal.

Thanks

Did you do the battery disconnect reset or the recal? The recal (see Tech Facts) seems to make the most difference in pedal response.

Maybe you feel the kickdown threshhold of the tranny. The threshhold moves with the vehicle speed. This can't explain why the APPS reset seems to change the behaviour but maybe you are mistaken in your observation.

I'll take all ideas, the peddle indeed will "soften up" after an apps reset, disconnect batteries slowly press the peddle etc. It's normal for awhile and then I notice the pressure spot again.

I'm going to look into the recall now.

thanks again.

**edit** I see you meant recalibration, not a recall on the APPS

I would say it's is the Kick down cable. There's no way possible the TPS can do that by resting it.
