Surging at a steady cruise
Surging at a steady cruise
My truck has started surging at a steady speed, like interstate driving. The rpms doesn't change, no power loss, no dead pedal, no codes, just an annoying surging up and down. The truck still runs good.
I cleaned the battery cables and left them off for 30 minutes. That helped but didn't fix it. Good fuel psi (14 @ 2000 rpms) Holley Black on the rail, new batteries, 141,000 miles, starts easy, good pedal through out.
I'm thinking APPS??? Could it be something else? I'm going to check/clean the main grounds and try that first.
Any experiences with surging?
Thanks

I really don't know to much on the 24V...But when I added more fueling(Laser cuts DV),I started to get the same surge on cruise..I read a writeup about this ,where when you add extra fuel.To solve the problem was to put a WD-40 straw in the vaccum line on the cruise control.Once I did that, problem was solved...
I've noticed the same surge after i installed the XZT+. I thought it might be the torque converter slipping a little but noticed you guys had the same problem with the manual trans. About a month ago I changed trany fluid and put in some Lucas additive. After a few miles the surge seemed to get better, but don't know for sure if it had anything to do with it or not.
I'd like to hear more on the WD40 thing. Were is the vaccum line?
