ABS and BRAKE lights came on steady...
What is my truck trying to tell me when the ABS and BRAKE light come on steady?
It first happend about two weeks ago while driving along. Once I got where I was going and went to leave they went out when I restarted the truck. Then on Thanksgiving day I drove 2 hrs to Dallas with the cruise set 98% of the way. When I got off the highway to get to my parents house it was idling about 1K and about two miles later it dead pedaled on me and kicked a P0121. I made it to their house and did the APPS reset and the light and the dead pedal went away. I haven't had any more trouble from it until today and twice while just driving along the ABS/BRAKE lights came back on steady. Each time the lights went away after I re-started the truck.
Any ideas?

If the lights are on, no ABS and brakes work in conventional fashion there is more than likely something wrong in the speed sensor/wiring. Too bad I haven't figured what is wrong out or I would sell kits to rid the Dodge of ABS. I haven't seen one where the lights are on and the pedal is dead. I wonder if you have a leak in the system, bad master cylinder, ????? Hopefully someone will give some insight.

Get the ABS speed sensor from your Dodge dealer and switch it out. It's located on the top of the rear axle....those things sometimes go funky and trigger your lights. If I remember right they aren't too horribly expensive and it's worth a shot to see if it works.
