ABS and Brake lights came on

Warmed up the truck for the ride home, pulling out of the parking lot and the ABS light and the brake light (on the dash) both came on at the same time.

Drove the truck home, brakes seemed fine. Checked for codes when I got home and got

0500
1693
0217

Any ideas? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Not sure what caused the 0217, but the 0500 speed sensor is usually the sending unit on top of the rear diff. I would check the connector first and if that don't fix it, about $35 to $40 from Dodge.

P0217 Decreased Engine Performance Due To Engine Overheat Condition: as for the other i think thats the companion code saying that something else is in the computer that needs a reader to read it.
