RJohnson, glad you got your seal repaired, actually TNRCC is now a happy camper since you are no longer puddling dino juice....

I think it's more than $10.00... but not sure.

The kit from Fixinrams is $59.00, comes with instructions on a DVD and will never have a problem again... period.

$ 8.07 was what I paid from cummins. and I have not had to reseal a pump yet after using the cummins seal kits. it also comes with the instructions (not DVD).1 pump has 90k since reseal and still no leak. but if someone is making a better seal I would look into it

I bought the Cummins kit last summer, did the fix myself at 60k miles and have not seen a drop in over 8k. If I remember correctly I paid exactly $7.97, and it came with instructions (which I still have if anyone needs 'em)....no DVD though . I used a couple different sockets which matched the size of a couple of the seals in place of the "tools" that the Fixinrams kit has.
Gafirefighter...pm me if you need some more info/advice.....I think I could do that fix over the phone to ya with out pulling the p.s. pump....I left mine attached to the engine....didn't want to mess with the lines & fluid.

I'm a little confused. Does the cummins kit come with a replacment gasket where the vacuum pump attaches to the block. The new ones from Cummins are metal with a rubber lip (factory is paper) and cost $6.00 by themselves. Add in O-rings and the seal itself... $8.00 bucks does not sound right?

Did mine without removing PS pump also.

yes . I thought it was a great deal for $8 bucks. if you get a chance to swing by cummins parts house, see if you can look at the kit. it has no tools but a few sockets of diff sizes work real well

Like Rebal said RJ....yes it comes with all required gaskets/seals.
I couldn't imagine scrapping the whole pump assembly ($$$) like some have done for such a simple fix.
