stock fuel filter question

stock fuel filter question

im doing my own big line kit and i was planing to use a bigger remote fuel filter and water sep. my question is will taking out the stock filter unit trough any codes or make my water in fuel light come one since im un pluging the harrness? thanks

i am using a racor filter water seperator, but left my fuel heater and wif alone it works well .... i am currently using a 2 micron filter, i have no filter element in the stock housing

i was thinking about doing that too.
where did you mount you remote filter? in side or out side of the frame rail?
i wanna keep it on the inside but it would be kinda tight on space

not to be rude that looks scary , I don't know what you do with your truck But come on, mounting the filter and pump ON the Outside of the frame rail I have plenty of trash on the road thrown up there that would pick them both off, snow/ ice drifts, Large rocks. the set up looks sweet but but location should be on the inside of the rail out of harms way. just my 2 cents .
