Starting Troubles 2000 Ram
I have a 2000 dodge ram and it is taking longer to start than usual. It almost seems that it is flooded like a gas engine. If I press up and down on the go pedal it will start. It used to start on a few turns of the starter.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

does it do it when the engine is cold too? Mine did it when the engine was hot, took about 5 seconds to get her to fire up. Ended up replacing the vp 44 and now i bump the starter and she comes to life.
You could do the key-on trick to see if any codes flash in the odometer window.
Don't start the truck, but with a steady rhythm, cycle the ignition key: on, off, on, off, on
Then if there's any codes stored, they will flash in the odometer window.
