Spacer under right wheel

What's the idea with the spacer between my rotor and wheel on my front right? Do all 4x4s have this? It looks original but I bought the truck used so I really don't know. It is stamped with RH ONLY on it. Any info would be great..

My 2002 2500 has no such spacers. How thick is it?

It's about 3/8 of an inch thick and as big around as the contact surface between the wheel and rotor.

It was the early "Fix" for the drift to one side when running straight problem in some of the earlier trucks.

Seems to be common on 1999 trucks,
why that year was "special", who knows.

Make sure it doesn't stick to the rim when rotating your tires.

Actually, it was used to "cure" brake pull - if the truck pulled left under braking, a spacer went under the right front wheel. HERE is TSB 05-03-97 / 05-04-99 for your reference.
