Really, the SB master/slave will handle a double disk? I don't need to install a double disk but got the SB unit instead of Dodge unit because I see a SB clutch in my future and was also told it is a better unit than stock.

I never heard of installing them with ties in place & letting them just break off with pedal pressure.....not saying it is the wrong way, but just never heard of that.
I've replace at least a dozen unit on Chevrolets and that's the way we did it.

I left mine on too, matter of fact, there was remnants of the factory tie on my factory piece when we took it out.

It seemed almost like we would have never gotten it in there had I taken the strap off??

Learn something new everyday. I posted on TDR about installing the unit & was told to pump it before installing to be sure all air is out.

Huh, mine was a one piece unit, all ready assembled and shipped with fluid.

I was laying on my back while I asked "should I have taken this white thingy off"? I fought it back in the grooves and let it snap when I depressed the pedal the first time.

I would image it doesn't matter though, as long as you can get it in there and all.
