Rust color spray on the inside of the hood!
When I opened my hood there was a rust colored liquid on the inside of the hood. Started it up and on the passenger side next to the boost boot there is something and that is where it is coming out of. Any one know what that is? But when I opened the radiator the antifreeze is bright green so where is the rust color coming from?
If it is the water pump is it easy to change and will napa have them or do I need to go somewhere else. Thanks

i had a similar situation and it was the water pump. mine eventually busted and was spraying coolant everywhere. The water pump has to be the easiest thing to change on the truck. It is literally 2 bolts. The hardest part is putting the belt on.

So far the only thing that I have seen that is throwing rusty water is the ideller pully on the serpentine belt. And only when it gets wet after hitting a large puddle. If the water pump is leaking ,your coolent level should be going down.
