rebuild?
I am getting an engine from a guy that only had about 50k miles on it, but the truck had a bad cab fire. It was bad enough he said that the valve cover started to melt. I am getting it for less than what it would be worth in scrap metal. Is it worth building and what would everyone suggest looking for or doing.

Get it and tear it completly down clean it all up and start putting it back together, I know a guy that does this alot, and has never had a problem with one. If you don't end up doing something with it PM me I would be very interested in the engine
