What year truck.
What engine in the truck (12 valve or 24 valve).

After we find this out, I can move this to the appropriate section where you'll get the best answer.

You can fill in your sig (see under my post for my sig) by clicking on "user cp" up above and scrolling down to signature.
Then you don't have to put in truck info each time you post.

Not wanting to , but all caps is considered shouting and is harder to read for most members.

Lets not go here again, please.

Phox has already asked rail roader to take off the caps.
Leave it at that.

Thanks
Rich

Sounds like the lift pump.

I'd get it to the dealer before you hit 100K.
It is covered under the 100k engine warranty.

If you have never put a lift pump on it chances are very good ( like 90%) that its toast. Make sure you take it in and have them log the complaint of lost of power on the computer just in case the Inj pumps goes for a poop.

Please get yourself a fuel pressure guage so you will be able to get another 300 or 400 thousand miules without any engine troubles.

And by the way welcome to the site.

have fun!!

I had the same thing happen to me once. I was heading to work one morning when it was real cold out and about three miles away from the house I was cruising @55 and going around a curve when it happened. Two days later I figured out what happened when I happened again. I was driving with my left hand and it was settled in that little space in between the supports that go out to the outer steering wheel, this puts it awful close to the "SET" button for the cruise control. Guess what happens when you push that button momentarily when tha cruise is set? You got it, power will drop off like you let off the throttle.

This might not be what happened to you but it is what happened to me. I know to keep my big pawe away from the buttons so I don't have any more anxious moments.

JonR

P.S. I had put almost 25K on my truck before I did this. So it wasn't a rookie mistake.
