Question about dying VP symptom

Have any of y'all had your truck surge but very quickly, almost like feathering a clutch when your VP was on it's way out? I have the hard cold starts and this quick surging, almost like the ignition is cutting out but it is MUCH worse with the Edge box on any power level which tells me maybe it's because the wire is tapped and it's asking too much of the dying VP and the symptom is much less without the box on. Does this make sense? I have no death code as well. So what do y'all think? Thanks!

What is LP pressure?
What speed does it surge?
Could it be RFI interference on lockup?

Fuel pressure is 24 idle, 18 WOT, only code was 0234 or 2034, forget which one, it's the one that says power interruption to lift pump. One thing's for sure, before I installed the Juice & FASS, my fuel pressure was 5 idle & dropped to zero at will. I put about 20K hard miles on the VP with little to no pressure. Probably it huh?
