Question

I posted this in the wrong place the first time so here it is in theright place. I have a 99 2wd auto CTD with 188k on the clock. Yestrerday I was getting off the interstate and as I approached the stop sign the truck went dead. This has never happened before. It started right back up and ran fine. Today I noticed that the truck is shifting late (not always) sometimes. Any ideas?

Thanks!

You might want to consider putting your pressure sensor right at the injection pump.

Ok, now the truck won't shift out of second gear. I went to pick my daughter up after driving fine and when I started it back up it wouldn't shift. Playing with the shifter made no difference. Could it be the throttle position sensor?

Thanks!

Talked to the good folks at dieseltrans.com and they told me to check the Gov. solenoid and the trans. output sensor. Said it sounds like an electrical problem.

Well... it's fixed! $17.00 speed sensor was the culprit. Better than the alternative!
