P1689 under load
On the side of the PSG there's a bunch of numbers and a bar code, and on the top of the PSG there should be some additional numbers. Write them down as those are how to identify what version it is.
Ok so something new that I've noticed the cel has been on since the issue started last time I drove the truck the light was off until it derated is there some kind of self cleaning type thing on these trucks
The cel should be on if there's a problem. But if it goes off then the OBDII system recognizes that the issue has gone away. That said, not all codes keep the cel on which is why you always check with a scanner.
P1693 companion code
P0230 transfer pump circuit out of range(fass wired to come on with key)
P1689 no communication between ecm and injection pump. going to test wiring between injection pump and ecm tonight. Also found out that my turbo is bad has way to much shaft play and compressor wheel has rubbed on housing

The first and last code are not good..... But always check everything else before you run out and spend a lot of money on a VP for no reason.
Did you ever check the alternator for AC noise? AC noise is bad news for electric components on these trucks. Add some loose or corroded connections/cables and you could have all kinds of phantom issues.

Well luckily the vp is under warranty and yea i did check for ac noise don't remember how much it was it's posted in this thread somewhere I'm leaning toward a vp tho it's getting worse and worse
The ECM isnt known for failing. And when it does there's usually telltale signs to look for like certain overhead display indications and WTS light changes, etc. I cant remember what all the signs are to look for either so I'd suggest if you think the ECM is giving you problems, Google signs of ECM failure and see what you can find out.
Hey I know it's been a while but got the truck up and running traded in my vp under warranty with no issues at scheid after bleending out the fuel system truck fired up and drove strong
