P0237 again...
P0237 again...
ok i have a 2000 dodge..and i never had any codes..installed the edge comp without tapping it..and for the 1237 code..i know its a low volt code or whatever...is it my map sensor? could it just have been weak before and finaly crapped out? my fuel milage went down lots..i cleaned all the connections..what can i check for? or should i just go get a new map sensor? i also cleaned out both sensors..the check engine light comes off and on...any help please..thanks
I would make sure your MAP connections are good before you buy a new sensor. If you haven't already, put some dielectric grease on your MAP connections. I had a bad connection in the MAP sensor of the Comp harness give me an intermittent stumble and 0237 code.

roadwarrior- thanks for the help...i cleared the code..dissconnected the batt, pulled the map sensor connections..and cleaned up the little prongs on the comps side with a small drill bit..i guess there was corrosion on there that needed to be scraped off ..put some electrical grease in there and put it back together...and the code is gone and hasent come back yet...i cleaned the comp connections before but i needed to scrape it down alittle...thanks again
ok i spoke too soon...didnt have any code for a few days...cycled the key 3 times non...drove about 3min and it popped back with thte light.....i unpluged the chip and im going to drive it like that for a day or so and see if anything pops up..if it does im going to change the map sensor...if nothing then its something in the chip...also i said i have the comp not tapped..should i move the ground to the battery? or does this not matter....please help im sick of this damm thing
I don't have my pump wire tapped either.
It is best to have the Comp grounded at the battery.
My problem didn't go away after I cleaned up the connection, the corrosion had already traveled into the Comp wire harness. After I got a replacement harness free of charge, my problem and code went away for good.
