This is my first post, so bear with me. I have had a serious
problem with over drive kicking in and out. I read as much as
I could on this web page. This is probably the best site I've
seen for cummins engines. Well I reset everthing cleaned
contacts and everthing else that I have read. I just about
was ready to take it to the shop, then I checked my batteries
and one was dead. I replaced both batteries and the problem
was still there. So I decided to check the alternator. Ahh bad
diode. The volts were jumping from 14v to about 10. just enough
to kill batteries and kick it out of over drive. Now everthing is
fine, Thanks to every one.

I hope it does, the problem was hard to pin point since there are so
many things that could be wrong.
