On a 2002 shouldn't it make some kind of turbo noise? This truck you can't hear it at all. Truck is all stock and has a clean air filter. Also, How do you check the waste gate to see if it opens and closes. I cant move the rod or arm at all if I check it with my hand.

Rip out the silencer ring and poke some holes in the air box. Leave the tube going to the fender so it will stil suck the cool air.

Silencer ring is a 2 min job. Pull the intake tube off, you will se a cone shaped ring with a split ring holding it in, pull them out, re connect the tube and enjoy.

How many miles on it?
I didn't start hearing mine spool up until about 60,000. Then I liked it so much I did a ringectomy. now it's just loud enuff to be pleasing. I'd love it to sound like killdozer but it would prolly get real annoying quick.
