Well diesels don't have a throttle plate like gassers do therefore they don't need blowoff valves. My MB only runs ~13psi and my talon was ~11psi stock. Anyway yes you could in theory install one but it'd serve no other purpose than noise. He should be able to use the BOV from any gasser to do it. I'm not familiar with the intake system in the CTDs yet so I'm not sure if it is alright to vent it or not.

Rather enjoys the whine of the turbos as they spin up,blowing air into the engine. We spend alot of blood sweat and tears figureing ways to get more air into the engine It would be painful to hear all that air blowing out.Merv

BD Power does have a blow off valve (B.O.V) They are primarally are for modified engines running high boost levels to prevent turbo bark (the turbo spins backwards if you quickly take your foot off the go pedal and can snap the turbo shaft). It can ruin a turbo. If his is stock, you don't need one. The turbo is already equipped with a wastegate to protect the turbo from overspeed/overboost, and the boost level is low enough that barking isn't much of an issue.
