New Pump-STILL 0216!!!
Ok guys new pump w/ fass and lines 2 days have gone by and it still has some issues and is still throwing the 0216 code and 1693 companion code...
Whats the deal? I cleared them twice with a code scanner, but their still there.
Is this pump falty too, this will be the second pump in 6 months or is there some kind of limp mode that it is stuck in untill the key cycles 50 times...

Come on man are you serious???
I just said I had a F.A.S.S. system installed w/ a new injector pump...
Why the hell would I want to replace the lift pump when the F.A.S.S. replaces the lift pump???

Make sure the shaft key is the proper one for the pump, and is facing the proper direction. A restricted fuel filter can set this code too, if you still use the stock canister. If the supply system is sucking air somewhere, it can do it too.

We put a new pump on today and to my suprise 0216 !!!!
And yes guys I've cleared the codes every time, as a matter of fact I used a friend's "Cummins Insite ISB monitor" while driving to see what is going on it seems like the code is burned into the ECU, cause we clear it every time and as soon as the truck starts without even moving it, it throws the code...
So lets tally up the score 2nd pump in one week third in 6 months!!!
Go BOSCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ant ideas other than the obvious would help, the plugs and harnesses are clean, the factory lift pump is by-passed as well as the stock fuel filter...
No loss in fuel pressure, as a matter of fact the guy at M&D Diesel Performance told me that the FASS was sending "TO MUCH" fuel pressure and thats what caused the pump to go bad...
So to please him since they do the rebuilds on the pumps and I want to continue to rely on him for service we dropped the pressure to 15psi which meets Bosch's spec's, but still 0216 what gives ????
Also for every body who is just tuning in... Their is no programmer's, chips, modules, or power enhancement's done to the truck...
