codes 1693 & 0216 new fass fuel pump?
I have replaced 4 lift pumps and just put my third injection pump with a new fass fuel pump. A week later the same codes came back again.Has anybody had this same problem repeat again and again. There has to be another problem i need help about to give up! 2001 dodge,24v, vp44,k.n.filter,fass fuel pump 150.everything is stock,i have a superchip programmer i want to install but i want keep the truck running first. Thanks for your help i will put fuel gauge on this weekend and check all connections.
Look at all the connections that were removed when the VP was done. make sure they are tight and solid. I have seen VP connectors not snapped in all the way that cause issues. UM...what Fuel Pressure you seeing now?
My suggestion......reset the code and see what happens.....it might have been stored from the previous pump failure. The 1693 is a companion code….don’t worry about that one. Its just telling you there is a code stored in the ECM or something to that effect…….
And like above...if you fill out your sig....gives us all an idea of what you have on your truck to better help you out......
Having that many failures is something to raise an eyebrow about......might look in what else might be knocking out pumps....like fuel quality??? Just sounds strange to me.......
