New Pump...Kinks fuel supply line!!!

I changed my old lp today on my 1999 qc ctd and the parts house gave me a new style pump, but the inlet house gets kinked because its to long and hits the firewall any thoughts ...

If it the Airtex style pump, usually I just bend the steel portion of the line to help it from kinking the hose. Have a pic ? It has been a while since I did the last one. IIRC, I bent it toward the engine to give a little more room near the bellhousing opening.......it has been awhile though!

I ran into the same problem this morning while installing a new style airtex. I loosened the oil dipstick tube so that it could be moved out of the way. Doing this gave me enough clearance to get the pump mounted on the bracket. Afterwards, I gently bent the return line (as stated above) so that I could slide on the stock inlet line.

Yes, it can be mounted on the frame rail. You'll need the Vulcan airtex pump adapter and the big line kit.
