VE pump supply line fitting
VE pump supply line fitting
I've been out messing with my truck today, installing a lift pump and injectors. In going through everything, I noticed the supply line to my injection pump seemed loose.Upon closer inspection, it appears that the fuel fitting that screws into the pump is loose. I tried taking the supply line off, but it started bending the line. If I hold the fuel fitting with a wrench and try to turn the supply line fitting, I can't budge it. I've hit it with PB Blaster. What's going on? Thanks.

I use a line wrench crows foot 6 point with extension to a breaker bar, don't laugh it works. Just make sure you have a wrench on the fitting to prevent it from twisting the fuel line. May need helper to hold wrench while you use two hands on breaker bar and cuss at the last person that tightened it so much.

So, you're breaking loose the fitting that screws into the injection pump while you're holding the fuel line fitting? Is it a swivel fitting? I'm just trying to figure out how it goes together and figure out why that fitting that screws into the injection pump is so wobbly. Thanks.
That is what happens when the inverted flare nut gets rusted on to the steel tube, soaking the nut in WD-40 might work, mine got rounded off from the previous owner not using the right tools, best thing to do is to remove the inverted flare adapter from the pump and install a male flare adapter then use a section of fuel hose, opposite connects to the filter head.
At this time I would also replace the line from the fuel pump to the fuel filter.
