Thats a clutch interlock, not a neutral position sensor. My truck has no such sensor so I had to ditch my remote start.

Only a reverse switch/sensor.

All Dodge HD trannies only have a reverse sensor.

Yes, clutch interlock, not really a neutral safety. Same circuit, different place. Someone should come up with an add-on neutral sensor that mounts under shift boot. 2 Microswitches, actuators and mounts could do it. On the 6 speed, the shift lever is consistenly in one of 3 positions...forward for 1st, 3rd, 5th, rev...middle for neutral and back for 2nd, 4th, 6th. A five speed would have a similar situation so the switches need to actuate with the shift forward and back. Side to side movement is not important.
I have no intention of putting a remote start on my 01 but if I ever remove the shift boot I will look to see if something can be fabricated. If there is any room at all it should not be difficult.
