Need shop in AZ

I just bought the truck in my sig last week and its broke.
I installed the Edge w/ Attitude trying to wake it up and it did...somewhat.
The fuel pressure sits at 8-9 at idle and drops to 0-4 when you drive it. So I dont drive it.The codes are 0216 and 1693.
Is it possible that if I change the lift pump (adding a second one at the same time) that my VP44 is ok?
Does any one know of a good shop on the west side of the valley in AZ that knows what they are doing?
I am also going to put a tranny in this truck so I can pull 10-20K# trailers. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

This is my first post but I had done hours of reading on this forum helping my buddies on their 12Vs. You guys have been a huge help!

Being the lift pump is suppling some psi, thus volume is present, you could certainly try to install the lift pumps you mentioned and clear the codes and hope for the best. Most likely you will be looking at replacing the injection pump, but I've seen some VP's go a long time with no drivability probs that have set an occasional p0216. Depending on your tool selection and mechanical skills you could do your own injection pump in your driveway. I've used a couple of pumps from Southwest Diesel in Phoenix and they were priced pretty decent.

I have used SW Diesel in the past for other stuff...I was hoping to find a shop that knows a little about modding these Dodge trucks.
Maybe I will get with them if I dont here anything different by the end of the day.
Do you know about a tranny guy in town that can build a good one?
Mine isnt broke...yet.

If you are going to upgrade your fuel system i would use the glacier diesel walboro pump and line kit.
