I'm fixin to go look at a 99 3500 reg cab flatbed 5spd slt 4wd its got 297k. Would yall be affraid of anything on it? Factory as far as I know. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

 

I would check the most important thing first before purchase. Do a search in these forums for 53 block. Just click on search & type 53 block. lots of info on this subject there. The 99 models mostly had the 53 blocks so check it & be safe.

 

at 297K i don't think the 53' would be a concern. unless it's cracked of course.

 

Also when did they change the LP and VP-44 last

 

Well I went and drove the truck. Started extremely well. May have turned over once before it started. Had very little play in the steerin. I did not take my gauge with me to check fuel pressure. Did however find out it has a nice oil leak on it, enough that it was drippin in one place. I think im probly gonna pass on it. Got a flatbed on it that would have to go jus because its the uglyest one I've ever seen. lol Thanks for ya'lls input
